The day begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, typically around 7:00 AM, as you set off on a scenic two-hour drive southwest through Maasai villages and open plains toward Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival at the park gate, your guide handles formalities while you stretch and prepare for the day’s adventure. The game drive starts soon after, taking you through Tarangire’s characteristic landscape dotted with towering baobab trees and swaying grasslands. As the morning sun rises higher, wildlife becomes more active—you may spot large herds of elephants moving gracefully through the trees, along with impalas, zebras, wildebeests, and possibly lions lounging in the shade.
